COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A Columbus man charged with murder pleaded not guilty Wednesday during his first court appearance in connection with a deadly shooting on Boxwood Boulevard that involved his own 2-year-old daughter.

Donald Fair, 32, is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Demetrius Wilkerson in the parking lot of Azalea Ridge Apartments in Columbus on November 8.

Timeline of events

The incident began shortly after midnight on November 8 when Fair and the mother of his child, Bella Warren, got into an argument that resulted in a car chase to the library on Macon Road.
