Newly released emails from disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein show that he once advised the husband of Trump's ambassador to Malta about a woman he was eyeing.
Jonathan Farkas, the husband of Somers Farkas, Trump's ambassador to Malta, reached out to Epstein during the first Trump administration in 2017 for advice about a woman he was eyeing, according to the emails. At the time, Somers Farkas had just been appointed to the White House Fellowship Commission, a board that recommends people for fellowships.
"I am a bit old and not all enough but she seems intelligent and kind," Farkas wrote to Epstein.
"Careful, she is not trustworthy AT ALL (sic)," Epstein wrote back.
"A 2 timer (sic)?" Farkas asked.
"Worse," Epstein said cryptically.
"Jeffrey please help me is she a hooker," Farkas shot back.
"Alcoholic. Drugs. Unstable. Commensurate liar. CAREFUL," Epstein replied.
"Gosh I don't drink and I never did drugs," Farkas replied.
The emails are part of a new tranche of documents a bipartisan group of lawmakers released related to Epstein's case on Wednesday. In all, tens of thousands of pages of documents were released.
Other emails directly contradicted parts of Trump's story about his relationship with Epstein. Trump has claimed he didn't know Epstein well, although one email described Trump being in Epstein's home with one of Epstein's victims for multiple hours. The interaction occurred before Trump ran for office, and the email does not accuse Trump of committing a crime.
