ST. PAUL — Minnesota higher education institutions on Thursday, Nov. 13, reported continued disruptions in federal funding at a Senate Federal Impacts Subcommittee hearing.
The hearing was one of several that Senate Democrats have held with the newly formed committee, designed to assess the impacts of President Donald Trump’s administration ahead of the 2026 legislative session.
As of Nov. 11, Minnesota has seen a total of $157 million in federal funds canceled across the board — not just higher education — and $491 million in federal funds to be “at risk,” according to Minnesota Management and Budget.
