A 2027 Nissan Patrol Pro-4X has been spotted testing on Melbourne roads, some 12 months ahead of its expected Australian launch date.

Despite the badges being covered, the left-hand-drive Y63-generation Patrol clearly wears the Pro-4X's unique grille and front under-car armour – with a central silver-coloured skid plate mounted to a black panel on the lower part of the front bumper.

Designed for off-roading, the Patrol Pro-4X features up to 244mm of ground clearance – when the air suspension is set to its highest setting – with an approach angle of 33 degrees, a departure angle of 24.5 degrees, and a breakover angle of 25.5 degrees.

It also comes with 20-inch black alloy wheels, fitted with 275/60R20 all-terrain tyres, and an electronic locking rear differential.
