YORK, Neb. (KSNB) - A California man is in jail suspected of check fraud in York.

Sacramento Police arrested 20-year-old Luke Dobrinski Wednesday, and he is currently awaiting extradition to Nebraska.

York Police said Dobrinski stole a check that was mailed by a York business, altered the check and cashed it electronically.

The investigation began in September. York Police went through financial records, and with help from other law enforcement agencies, found enough evidence for an arrest warrant.

Dobrinski was arrested Wednesday in Sacramento for felony theft and first-degree forgery.
