KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Historic Westwood House was once home to Adelia Armstrong Lutz and her family, but now it houses portions of Knoxville’s history.
The Westwood House sits on Kingston Pike, blending in with the other houses so well that most people who pass by never realize the house is a rarity in Knoxville.
“People drive by all the time and don’t even notice it,” Director of Preservation Services Hollie Cook said.
The 19th-century house was built by Knoxville artist Adelia Armstrong Lutz and features an attached art studio, something not typically seen in historic East Tennessee homes.
