LAS VEGAS — The Red Sox are considering building a super ‘pen, according to a report from The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal earlier Thursday .
Rosenthal wrote, “Though the idea is further down their list of priorities, the Boston Red Sox are considering the addition of a high-leverage reliever to create a version of a super bullpen, people familiar with the club’s thinking said.”
Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow said he’s more focused right now on other ways to improve the roster. Throughout this week at the GM Meetings, Breslow has discussed his desire to add a No. 2 starter and at least one power hitter .
