LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Two Omaha men accused of murder in a 2024 downtown Lincoln homicide had their cases dropped in Lancaster County District Court but received federal charges alongside 11 other people.
The complaints are sealed, but documents filed Nov. 5 show that Kavion Wright , 24, and Gregory Bahati , 31, each received eight counts including murder in the aid of racketeering activity. Four of the charges allege racketeering activity.
The two men had their cases dismissed without prejudice in Lancaster County on Wednesday, though the reason for it remains unclear.
It’s unknown how exactly the 11 other people, who are all from Omaha, are involved in the new case.
