Both of Southwest Michigan’s members of the U.S. House are welcoming the end of the federal government shutdown.
Seven Democrats and one independent this week joined with Republicans in the Senate to approve a continuing spending resolution to end the longest shutdown in history. The House approved the continuing resolution Wednesday, sending it to the president.
