COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - An Anderson man is behind bars after a crash on Wednesday evening that seriously injured a motorcyclist.
College Station police documents say 32-year-old Brittain Rausch ran a red light at William D. Fitch Parkway and Victoria Avenue. When Rausch ran the light, a witness police interviewed said he hit the back of a motorcycle, forcing the bike into another vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, including a fractured skull, cracked sternum, brain bleed and multiple fractured ribs.
Police say Rausch admitted on scene that he had consumed multiple beers before the crash. Officers also found a firearm inside his truck, where he was the sole occupant.
