Does anyone remember that just before Justin Trudeau was first elected, he promised to change Canada’s election process? Of course, all Trudeau wanted to change was the outcome of elections. Here’s something that should be Canadian law but never will be. Once you are elected, you must fulfill your term with the party you represent. Chris d’Entremont was elected as a Conservative but crossed the floor to be a Liberal. He was elected to represent those who voted for him as a member of the Conservative Party. The fact is, he was elected as a Conservative, and he told everyone who voted for him that their vote no longer matters. How is that legal?
