ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -In anticipation of the winter weather season, officials from MoDOT, Warren County and municipalities held a roundtable this week to discuss operational plans.
According to MoDOT, the concrete barricades that line much of Interstate 70 from Warrenton to Wentzville will remain in place this winter, as construction crews continue work. As a result, MoDOT crews will have to change their approach to clearing snow and ice from the roadway.
“Probably most important is which way are we pushing the snow and for sections of I-70 that’s going to change, as we’ve changed the drainage patterns,” said Eric Kopinski, MoDOT’s Director of the I-70 Improvement Project. “Our maintenance crews and construction crews are all singing the same song when it comes to that.”
