GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Some residents in Green Bay’s Bay Highlands neighborhood say crossing the street still feels unsafe after the city voted against adding two flashing crosswalk beacons last month.

People who live near Bay Highlands and South Huron Road say drivers don’t always stop, and that crossing, especially during busy hours, can be risky.

Now, with shorter days and darker evenings heading into winter, visibility is becoming an even bigger concern.

Green Bay police are currently monitoring the two intersections in the neighborhood.
