ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the City of Alexandria held an open house public meeting on Nov. 13 to allow discussion for the proposed Sugar House Expansion Project.

The goal for the project is to develop a connector route between Louisiana Highway 1, Interstate 49, U.S. 167 and U.S. 71 in Alexandria:

Representatives from the project team answered questions and discussed issues related to the project.

Erin Buchanan, Public Information Officer for LADOTD, said this public meeting was held to not only provide information to the most important stakeholders, which are the traveling public and residents, but also to receive their feedback and input.
