Netflix’s animated hit “KPop Demon Hunters” has been ruled ineligible for BAFTA recognition , though it can win in this year’s Academy Awards, Variety reports.

The Academy’s requirements for Oscar eligibility call for a one-week theatrical run in one of six major U.S. metro areas. “KPop Demon Hunters” was screened June 20–26 in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, coinciding with its Netflix debut.
