WACO, Texas — Following the announcement that Athletic Director Mack Rhoades would be taking a leave of absence from Baylor University , men's basketball head coach Scott Drew offered his support for Rhoades.
A statement released by school officials cited "personal reasons" for Rhoades' decision, which also led him to step down from his role as chairman of the College Football Playoff selection committee.
When asked about the situation on Thursday, Drew kept his response brief.
"Mack's a friend," Drew said. "Love him and his family. Praying for him."
