IRVING, Texas — The spotlight on Baylor athletics continues to grow.
Mack Rhoades, the athletics director at Baylor University currently being investigated by the school, stepped down as chairman of the College Football Playoff selection committee Thursday and is taking a leave of absence from the university, stating the decision was made for personal reasons.
Rich Clark, the executive director of the CFP, announced the CFP Management Committee has appointed University of Arkansas Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek as selection committee chair for the remainder of the 2025 football season.
Athletics Director at the University of Utah Mark Harlan was also appointed to the CFP Selection Committee in the absence of Rhoades. Harlan previously served a one-year term during the 2023 season.
