YORK, Pa. — As federal employees return to work and SNAP benefits are distributed, many remain uncertain over the cost of their health insurance.

Pa. health advocates are urging Congress to take action, after they voted to end the government shutdown without extending subsidies for the Affordable Care Act. The subsidies are set to expire on Dec. 31.

Officials with Pennie, Pa.'s healthcare marketplace, estimate that enrollees could see average premiums increase by 102% if the credits expire.

Tori Baggot, a small business owner in Pittsburgh, said her premiums are expected to increase from $197 a month to $365 a month.
