Los Angeles Dodgers global superstar Shohei Ohtani has been named the 2025 National League MVP . It is Ohtani’s third straight MVP award and fourth overall, with all four having been decided by unanimous vote.
Ohtani won the American League MVP award in 2021 and 2023 as a member of the Los Angeles Angels. He also won the NL MVP in 2024 in his first season with the Dodgers.
Ohtani is now the only player in MLB history to win multiple MVPs in both the AL and NL. Widely considered the greatest baseball player on Earth (and perhaps of all time), Ohtani hit .282 (1.014 OPS) in 2025 with 172 hits, 55 home runs, 102 RBIs and 146 runs scored in 158 games. He won his second World Series in November. In two seasons wearing a Dodgers uniform, Ohtani has bagged back-to-back MVPs and back-to-bac
