Ho hum, say the Whitecaps.
MLS announced Thursday that starting in 2027 it’s going to align with how most of the world’s leagues run, although with a caveat: this is a league that has teams in wintry places, where snow will be a problem in the dead of winter, so they will be taking a break for December and January.
And instead of risking having the league’s final in frigid, sub-zero temperatures as they did in Toronto, it will be in much nicer conditions in May. (Format to come, one hopes it might be a fun one.)
