The India Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for Kerala and Mahe, predicting light to moderate showers on Thursday, November 13. In its latest bulletin, the Met Office also predicted rain for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema in the coming days.
Cold wave conditions are also likely to impact several parts of the country, including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. For the next three days, expect widespread rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the islands, with isolated to scattered activity in coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, and south interior Karnataka, the IMD said. Thunderstorms with lightning are also likely in these regions, particularly over Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
