Maine nurse practitioner leads national organization

(WABI) - Dr. Valerie Fuller has spent three decades as a registered nurse and 28 as a nurse practitioner.

Fuller serves as the first president of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners from Maine. The organization represents more than 461,000 nurse practitioners nationwide, including 4,000 in Maine.

WABI spoke with Fuller during National Nurse Practitioner Week, which highlights the contributions of nurse practitioners in healthcare.
