ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The City of South Fulton received funding to target dangerous driving.

Speeding is just one of the things the traffic unit considers dangerous driving. Others include driving under the influence or being on the phone while driving.

“We have a lot of traffic, we have a lot of speeders. Oftentimes we have drunk drivers who are out on the road,” said Cedric Alexander, interim public safety director.

The police department’s new grant funding from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety will help tremendously in highway and road enforcement. They received $111,000.
