The owner of The Place 2 Be is speaking out following a larceny arrest and multiple evictions.

Gina Luari invited us to speak with her, saying she wanted to share her side of the story.

Luari is accused of issuing a bad check of $10,000 to a vender in East Hartford. She said she had no idea she was writing a bad check.

“I used a checkbook that was my business checkbook, with the bank that we used. It was prestamped with my signature. The bank closed the account because we were closed for six months, so there was no activity, so they closed it. So, I did not know at the time," Luari said.
