COLUMBIA, La. (KNOE) - The Caldwell Parish School District is proposing a one-cent sales tax. If approved, the Caldwell Parish School District’s one-cent sales tax proposition will add a cent for every dollar spent on taxable purchases in Caldwell Parish and will last for 20 years.
The superintendent for Caldwell Parish School District, Nicki McCann, says this will not impact property taxes. She believes this will improve the community not only for academics but also play a factor in the economy.
