Work is set to begin early next year on a new business school on the Dallas Baptist University campus.

Construction on the 55,000-square-foot Don and Linda Carter School of Business is scheduled to begin in March, the university told Dallas Business Journal. The five-story property will include a simulated stock-exchange trading floor, breakout and meeting rooms and tiered lecture halls.

To fund the new school, DBU launched a $60 million fundraising campaign in May. The Mabee Foundation announced a $2 million commitment for the project on Nov. 12. The grant challenges DBU to raise an additional $8 million by July 2026, which would put the institution at $53 million toward its goal.
