HARTFORD, Conn. — A Waterbury man who admitted in March to being part of a local drug organization was sentenced in Hartford federal court to three years and four months in prison on Thursday.
Luis Munoz, 41, also known as “P.R.” and “Puerto Rico,” will see his sentence followed by three years of supervised release, according to a report from the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Court documents and statements made show that the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Waterbury Safe Streets Gang Task Force and other law enforcement agencies extensively investigated two drug trafficking organizations based in the city.
