SEALY, Texas — A piece of Texas history recently hit the market.
Estancia Pueblo Viejo Ranch, 8 miles east of Sealy, is up for sale for $14.8 million. It sits on 91 acres near the Brazos River in Austin County.
The 6,777-square-foot main home features four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths. There's also a guest suite with a kitchenette and equestrian amenities, including a barn with eight horse stalls. More photos
The ranch is within the historic Stephen F. Austin land grant. The grant is part of the original permits Austin obtained in the early 1820s from Mexico to colonize what was then called Coahuila y Texas. By 1825, Austin had brought the first 297 Anglo-American families into the state. The territory, eventually known as Texas, went on to declare its independence
