EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - No. 17 Michigan State men’s basketball rolled past San José State with a 79-60 victory on Thursday night.
Jaxon Kohler and Carson Cooper led MSU in points with 17, and Kohler collected an astonishing 18 rebounds as well. Cooper also added seven rebounds and four steals.
Jeremy Fears Jr. totaled up 15 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. Michigan State shot 48% from the field and made six of its 25 shots from beyond the arc.
MSU also outrebounded San José State 45 to 26. Kur Teng also had a nice first half for MSU, finishing with 10 points and a pair of assists.
Michigan State next faces No. 9 Kentucky on Nov. 18 in New York for the Champions Classic
