MINNEAPOLIS — Hills-Beaver Creek's five interceptions were enough to keep the Fertile-Beltrami offense from getting going Thursday.
With a high-scoring second quarter, the Patriots put together a 30-14 Minnesota 9-player state semifinal win at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Both sides had long rushing attempts for scores. As the game went on, though, the side that put together a strong, methodical drive came out on top.
“We haven’t had to do that too many times this year," Hills-Beaver Creek head coach Rex Metzger said. "For us to put some drives together, I thought we established our running game like we wanted to."
