The Richmond RCMP says it is investigating after a car crashed into a light pole last month.

Around 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 23, officers were called to the scene of the crash at Alderbridge Way near No. 3 Road, where they found a damaged light blue Honda Fit.

Police say the car had been headed west on Alderbridge Way when it crashed into the pole.

The driver was taken to hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.

Anyone who was travelling on Alderbridge Way between Garden City Road and Minoru Boulevard between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. and who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Richmond RCMP.
