SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Shreveport police officers arrested a 29-year-old man Wednesday, Nov. 13 on a second-degree rape charge after a 52-year-old woman reported she had been sexually assaulted.
Police said Jerwin Williams was taken into custody after patrol officers responded to the rape report and quickly located him.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department Sex Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation. Following their review of the incident, Williams was charged with one count of second-degree rape, according to SPD officials.
