SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A Scottsdale nurse is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say she injected patients with Botox and weight loss drugs for a doctor who is not licensed to practice medicine in Arizona.

According to court documents, Levy Aesthetics — a new medspa near Scottsdale Road and Mescal Street — opened last month under the direction of Dr. Daniel Levy, a physician based in Bellevue, Washington. Investigators with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office say Levy is not licensed to practice medicine in Arizona.

“Something you cannot do is have an unlicensed facility that does not have a state licensed medical director,” said Will Humble, executive director of the Arizona Public Health Association.
