CORRIGAN, Texas (KTRE) - Corrigan-Camden ISD is putting the finishing touches on a nearly $21 million makeover.

“Whatever you see on the outside, there’s a whole lot more that’s been done on the inside,” said superintendent, Brian Aiken.

Over the past three years, the school has renovated all three campuses. They upgraded infrastructure, kitchens, security, and new floors and ceilings in classrooms.

“We wanted to give all the classrooms a fresh look. Something the kids could be proud of, to step into that’s a suitable learning environment,” he said.

They built a new 18 thousand square foot - field house and junior high gym from the ground up. Student athlete Aidan Heredia said he and his teammates have been in the gym for two weeks practicing for the new basketball season.
