BUFFALO, N.Y. — An apparent enforcement action in the Elmwood Village Thursday morning sparked protests outside the Aguacates Mexican restaurant.

According to photos and video of the incident reviewed by 2 On Your Side , several individuals were taken into custody by several plainclothes agents in front of the restaurant sometime Thursday morning.

WGRZ had reached out to the Department of Homeland Security seeking additional information. Right now it is unknown what the individuals were detained for and what they are being charged with.

But the action sparked a protest that ranged between 50 and 100 people Thursday afternoon outside the restaurant.
