MADISON (WKOW) — The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) is marking its 100th anniversary with a significant investment in the University of Wisconsin–Madison's research.
WARF announced a $206.9 million commitment for fiscal year 2026, aimed at bolstering research and innovation at the university and the Morgridge Institute.
This investment includes annual grants, operational support, and the transfer of WARF's ownership stake in the Discovery Building, giving it to UW–Madison and the Morgridge Institute for Research. The total support package is valued at $206.9 million, with $75.8 million of it dedicated to the Discovery Building transfer.
"This announcement celebrates WARF’s shared legacy with UW–Madison and Morgridge Institute researchers," said Erik Iverson, WARF CEO.
