MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) have launched new online tools to streamline the child care licensure process. The tools aim to cut licensing processing times nearly in half, making it easier for Wisconsinites to start licensed or certified child care programs.
The governor emphasized the importance of reducing barriers for qualified individuals entering the child care profession.
The new tools include an interactive webpage called Roadmap to Child Care Regulation and an online licensing application. These resources guide prospective providers through choosing the right program, navigating regulations, and maintaining license requirements.
Evers and DCF say early data indicates a significant reduction in processing time
