India vs South Africa Live Score, 1st Test Day 1 (India National Cricket Team vs South Africa National Cricket Team): Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton made a strong start for South Africa with the opening pair adding 57 runs. It was Jasprit Bumrah who provided the breakthrough for India when he cleaned up Rickelton. He then also accounted for Markram before Kuldeep Yadav struck to send back captain Temba Bavuma cheaply.

At lunch, South Africa were 105/3 in 27 overs.

Earlier, Bavuma called it correctly at the coin toss and opted to bat first against India at Eden Gardens. Kagiso Rabada misses out for South Africa while there’s no B Sai Sudharsan for India.
