PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Rep. Andy Biggs said Thursday that he’s willing to break ranks with the White House and pry open one of the ugliest files in Washington.

The Republican lawmaker said he plans to vote to release government files on convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, putting him at odds with President Trump, who has pushed hard to keep the documents under wraps.

“As it sits right now, if there’s no changes which (there are) rumors that there might be, then I would lean yes,” Biggs said in a text message after being asked how he plans to vote.

Biggs appears to be joining a growing number of breakaway Republicans— dozens of GOP lawmakers in Congress planning to cross the aisle.
