PITTSBURGH —
Pittsburgh police were investigating a fatal stabbing in the city's Hill District neighborhood Thursday evening.
Officers were called to the 2700 block of Webster Avenue around 6 p.m. for reports of an altercation involving two people, according to a statement from Pittsburgh Public Safety. Advertisement
"Responding units located an unresponsive male on the ground suffering from a stab wound to the torso. Medics pronounced him deceased at the scene," the statement said.
Public safety officials said one person was taken to the hospital for evaluation, then taken to headquarters for questioning.
The name of the person who died has not been released as the investigation continues.
