TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Pima County is preparing to shut down its Trap and Skeet facility near Interstate 10 and Houghton Road following a notice from Humphrey's Peak Properties.
The notice, received on November 10, 2025, gives the county 30 days to complete the closure. The property sale is expected to finalize by December 25, 2025, with the new Project Blue Data Center set to replace the facility.
In a memo, County Administrator Jan Lesher outlined the details of the notice and emphasized the urgency of the closure. Lesher highlighted that the buyer waived several closing conditions related to zoning and utility arrangements.
