Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly ignited a firestorm with her recent comments about Jeffrey Epstein, the late convicted sex offender and accused sex trafficker.

During Wednesday’s episode of her self-titled podcast Kelly claimed that someone with knowledge of the Epstein case said he was “not a pedophile” because he was “into the barely legal type.” Epstein, who died by suicide in August 2019, was accused of trafficking and sexually abusing girls as young as 14 prior to his death.

“This person has told me from the start ... that he liked 15-year-old girls,” Kelly said , leaving her source unnamed. “And I realized this is disgusting. I’m definitely not trying to make an excuse for this. I’m just giving you facts, that he wasn’t into, like, 8-year-olds.”
