First came the Eaton fire, and now an incoming storm is threatening to upend what should have been a community celebration in Altadena. But organizers of “Rising Together,” the relaunch of five small businesses on Mariposa Street that survived the January inferno are saying, “Not so fast.”

The celebration block party, organized by the Altadena Chamber of Commerce , is rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2455 Lake Ave. The time for the event remains the same, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The relaunch was originally set for this Saturday, Nov. 15, but was postponed due to rain forecasted to last through the weekend.

The date is the only change to the event, designed to celebrate months of repair and rebuilding for businesses such as Betsy’s Restaurant, McGinty’s Gallery at the End of the Wo
