DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. (KTIV) - For 29 years, the Siouxland Tanzania Educational Medical Ministries, also known as STEMM, has helped thousands of kids half-a-world away.
On Thursday, Nov. 13, STEMM held its largest fundraiser of the year to support that mission.
STEMM’s 28th annual ‘Night of Hope’ took place at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Dakota Dunes, S.D. There, hundreds of people gathered for a silent and live auction to raise money towards their cause.
STEMM is an evangelical organization that tries to meet all of the needs in Tanzania, particularly for children in medicine, education, and community development.
The organization has sent more than 20,000 kids through high school and university in Tanzania and serves a hot lunch program which provides meals for 6,000 students a
