CORVALLIS Ore. (KPTV) - One person was shot and killed near a park in Corvallis on Thursday morning, according to the Corvallis Police Department.

At about 10 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Willamette Park on Goodnight Avenue.

Officers said two people were involved, and one of them died.

The other person stayed at the scene and was questioned by detectives.

There is no danger to the community, police said.

No further information was released on Thursday, but police said they would be updating the community with more details when they are able.
