Boys swimming practice kicked off this week in pools around the state, and the first meets of the season can begin as soon as Nov. 24. From there, it will be an all-out sprint to sectional meets, which will be held on Feb. 19 and 21 (unless, as it so often does, winter weather intervenes).

Five Athletes

Hayden Lynam, Homestead: The senior placed fifth in the 200-yard individual medley at the state finals last season and was ninth in the 100 free after winning both events at the South Side Sectional. He signed with IU Indianapolis on Wednesday.

Ian Parrott, Warsaw: The senior diver won the Valparaiso Dive Regional in 2024 and 2025, and he finished third at last year's state finals with a score of 504.25. He has also won back-to-back Warsaw Sectional titles.
