Charles the alligator has a cold, but is resting comfortably

The New England Wildlife Center reports it's taken over the care of Charles the Alligator, and yes, of course, he's named Charles; says he's basically doing OK, but has an upper respiratory infection, so he's on antibiotics now.

One Floridian offered the retention pond across from his home for a more permanent home:

I keep my Red Sox banner outside so he can feel at home.
