WASHINGTON, D.C. – Washington National Cathedral will host the funeral service for former Vice President Richard B. Cheney on Thursday, Nov. 20, beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern time.

Cheney served as the 46th vice president of the United States from 2001 to 2009, and as the 17th U.S. Secretary of Defense from 1989 to 1993. Cheney also served as the White House Chief of Staff for President Gerald Ford from 1975 to 1977, and as U.S. Representative for Wyoming’s at-large congressional district from 1979 to 1989.

Cheney died at the age of 84 on Nov. 3.
