CHINO HILLS — Los Serranos Country Club’s North Course was there for the taking on a calm Thursday of CIF State Southern California girls golf regional championship play.
Chowchilla’s Asterisk Talley, the 2024 United States Women’s Amateur and Girls Junior Amateur runner-up and 2024 Curtis Cup participant, took full advantage in shooting a bogey-free 9-under-par 65 to claim the title by two shots over Marlborough’s Zoey Kim and defending champion Rina Kawasaki of Palos Verdes.
It was the lowest winning score on the North Course in three years of hosting the girls state regional event.
