13-Year-Old Seriously Hurt When E-Bike Collides With Deer In East Islip: Police

A teenager was seriously injured when his e-bike crashed into a deer in East Islip on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5:42 p.m., Suffolk County Police said.

The 13-year-old boy was riding an e-bike north on Woodland Drive near Gwendolyn Place when he struck a deer in the roadway, according to a release issued by the department on Thursday, Nov. 13.

He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with serious injuries.

Police impounded the e-bike for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
